This year, for Nick's 15th birthday, he wanted to go to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, with us and his friend Nick. There are lots of fast and high rides there. Nick is in here somewhere!
Some of the rides were actually a bit too much for Michael and I (but not the kids!), so we had to take a couple of hours to recover. So, we recovered on the beach...
I'll admit, my favorite thing about the boardwalk was all the fun (and pretty cheap!) food, like chocolate covered bananas...
...and the deep fried Twinkies.
It was a long, fun day!
The next day we celebrated Nick's actual birthday with his favorite treat...Oma's cheesecake!
